The MountainStar Madras Relief Nursery is a part of MountainStar Family Relief Nursery. This organization is a child abuse prevention nonprofit serving Central Oregon. They provide programs that help distressed families. They provide care for children ages zero to four. Their main goal and intention is to prevent child abuse and neglect. They provide classroom activities for the children , as well as family counseling and guidance, food, clothing and child rearing education for their families. They operate mainly on individual donations and volunteers.
The Madras Garden Club intends to update the entrance area with blooming flower containers, a better watering system and maybe some evergreen foliage this coming spring. We already have a commitment to place a couple of petunia baskets to welcome visitors and families visiting the facility. A small committee will be working on the design and upgrade when the 2019 spring weather arrives.
